Jamshedpur students shine in CISCE Zonal Yoga Championship

Jamshedpur, Aug 6: Yoga performers of Little Flower School, Hill Tip School, Church School, Beldih, Sacred Heart Convent School, Rajendra Vidyalaya, Narbheram Hansraj English School, Carmel Junior College, Sri Krishna Public School, Dayanand Public School, ADLS Sunshine School, Vig English School brought laurels during the ‘CISCE Zonal Yoga Championship.

The championship was organised by Narbheram Hansraj English School (NHES) on 4-5 August 2023 in the NHES auditorium.

Students from 18 schools in Jamshedpur participated in a host of events. An inspirational dance was also presented by the students of NHES.

The Championship featured three levels of competition: (i) Sub-Junior (Boys & Girls) – Under 14 (ii) Junior (Boys & Girls) – Under 17 (iii) Senior (Boys & Girls) – Under 19

The students showcased their skills in three types of Yoga – Athletic, Artistic, and Rhythmic. Athletic was a team event, while Artistic and Rhythmic Yoga were individual events. A total of 150 participants took part in the competition.

Earlier, Chief Guest for the occasion was Devang Gandhi, Joint Secretary of the School Managing Committee.

The program concluded with the announcement of the results. Paramita Roy Chaudhury, Principal of Narbheram Hansraj English School, felicitated the winners. She expressed, “In life, both winning and losing are inevitable, but what is never acceptable is quitting. Hard work and dedication count.”
