Jamshedpur, March 6: Tapasya Chatterjee, a Class VI student of Hill Top School in Telco, has brought pride to her school and family by winning the “Social Media Star” title at the Junior Miss India Contest 2025–2026, held in Jaipur earlier this year.
Tapasya, daughter of Tuhin Chatterjee and Mahua Chatterjee of Mango, competed in the 11–12 years age category, where 28 participants took part.
The nationwide contest witnessed the participation of 172 contestants from across India in different age groups. With her impressive performance and online popularity, Tapasya emerged as the winner of the Social Media Star title in her category.
According to her mother, Mahua Chatterjee, information about the Junior Miss India contest was first discovered through Instagram in July 2025. Tapasya then applied through the online process and successfully cleared various stages of the competition based on her introduction and performance rounds.
The grand finale was held in Jaipur from January 6 to 8, 2026. The three-day event included training sessions on the first day, a cultural round on the second day, and the final gown round on the third day. Tapasya performed remarkably in all three rounds, earning the coveted title.
Her achievement has made both her school community and family immensely proud. Tapasya’s father, Tuhin Chatterjee, is a teacher by profession, while her mother works at Tata Motors.
Despite her early success in the pageant world, Tapasya says her dream is to become a doctor and dedicate herself to serving society through the medical profession.
