Jamshedpur, June 26: A youth from Makhdmapur under Parsudih thana, Farhan Mustakim, first year student of Al-Kabir Polytechnic College got drowned in Paharbhanga river at Shankarda panchayat in Potka block on Saturday. Two other youths had also been swept away but were rescued by village youths.
Potka police tried their best to fish out the body with help of local diverse but the body could not be found till the filing of this report.
Five youth from Parsudih had gone to take bath in the Paharbhanga river and were swept away in the current of the river. While the four managed to cling on to each other and were rescued the other youth had drifted away from them.
