Jamshedpur street vendor thrashed for refusing extortion 

Jamshedpur, July 16: A miscreant named Pappu is demanding extortion of Rs 150 per day from Mohammad Ansari, who sells snacks at Sakchi Golchakkar in Sakchi police station area.

On not giving, on Saturday, Pappu along with his 10-12 companions reached the vendor and beat up Mohammad Waiz Ansari. When his maternal uncle auto driver Mohammad Kalam Hussain came to save him, Pappu beat him up and injured him. When Armaan and Waris came to save them, they were also beaten up.

Two more people have been injured in this fight. He has been admitted to MGM Hospital for treatment. The shopkeeper told that when those people complained about the assault in the police station and then reached MGM Hospital for treatment, then Pappu along with his colleagues reached MGM Hospital.

His audacity increased so much that even in the hospital, he beat up the shopkeeper and his colleagues and threatened  him from complaining to police.

All the injured are residents of Old Purulia Road in Azad Nagar, currently the police is investigating the matter.
