Gamharia, September 30:The iron pillets laden trailor (heavy vehicle) taken by criminals after killing the cleaner and injuring the driver in Jagannathpur was recovered near Chadri, about one kilometer from Kandra police station in Seraikela Kharsawan district.
Kandra police station in-charge Rajan Kumar said that information was received from Jagannathpur’s SDPO Ekud Dungdung that the criminals had fled with the truck of the said number. After this information, under the leadership of sub-inspector Kishore Munda and N K Ojha, two separate patrolling teams were formed and engaged in vehicle investigation. During this, CCTV footage of two toll gates was also scanned. Meanwhile, the said truck was caught near Nandidih, about one and a half kilometres from Kandra police station.
Before catching the truck, a person in the truck who had tied his face with a scarf has fled on seeing the police. At the same time, according to another information, some other people on the truck were drinking locally brewed liquor nearby but fled on seeing the police. It is also being heard that a blue coloured mini-car was escorting the stolen trailor, the police is also investigating it thoroughly.
According to sources, the investigation of this vehicle will be done by the forensic team so that the culprits can be punished. The estimated value of pillets loaded on trailer is around Rs 5 lakh.
