Jamshedpur steps up civic preparedness ahead of Muharram

Jamshedpur, June 19: Taking forward the preparation for Muharram, the Jamshedpur Notified Area Committee (JNAC) has intensified civic arrangements to ensure cleanliness and smooth public services across the city.

At a review meeting chaired by the Additional Municipal Commissioner, officials and civic staff were directed to undertake a special cleanliness drive in areas associated with Muharram observances.

Sanitation supervisors were instructed to ensure thorough cleaning of routes leading to akharas and mosques, besides clearing all procession pathways to facilitate the movement of devotees.

The civic body also reviewed arrangements for drinking water supply, with concerned officials directed to deploy water tankers wherever required during the observance.

Assistant Municipal Commissioners, city managers, sanitation supervisors and other officials attended the meeting and were briefed on their responsibilities to ensure seamless civic services during Muharram.
