Bhojpuri Manch members demand regularization of workers and civic amenities
Jamshedpur: Members of Bhojpuri Navchetna Manch staged a demonstration at the gate of Steel Strip Wheels in Govindpur in support of their various demands pertaining to regularization of workers and civic amenities in the area. The company gate was blocked for more than two hours.
Leading the agitators, the outfit�s state president Appu Tiwary said the temporary workers of the company should be regularized without delay. He further demanded that the company should provide basic civic amenities to the local residents.
He said the agitation would continue indefinitely till the demands are fulfilled.
The agitators began their agitation at 5 am. They requested the workers to lend support to their agitation. After some time, the company management offered to meet the agitators.
Several senior company officials including the HR head Sukhbir Singh reached the gate and talked to the agitators. The chief HR officer Mahavir Singh spoke to Appu Tiwary and assured to consider the demands raised by him, sources said.
The agitators included Arun Pandey, Neeraj Dubey, Manish Choubey, Nishant Mishra, Balvindra Singh, Nagendra Singh, Rishabh Singh, Sourabh Kumar, Ratnesh Singh, Dhananjay Singh and Bhagwan Singh.
