Jamshedpur, Aug 19: A monthly crime seminar was held on Tuesday at the SSP office auditorium under the chairmanship of the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) and in the presence of the Superintendent of Police (Rural). The meeting was attended by all Deputy Superintendents of Police, Zonal Inspectors, and Police Station In-charges of rural areas, where important directives were issued regarding law and order and crime control.
During the seminar, special focus was given to the timely execution of pending cases, warrants, and attachments. The current status of passport and character verification was also reviewed. The SSP instructed officers to ensure that pending cases were disposed of promptly to speed up the judicial process.
Officers provided updates on case settlement and disposal through the CCTNS portal. Key topics such as preventive policing, pending POCSO cases, and e-evidence were also discussed.
The SSP further stressed the need for regular and intensive patrolling to curb anti-social activities and maintain effective control over criminal elements. Officers were directed to give top priority to maintaining law and order at the police station level, take swift action on every complaint, and strengthen the image of the police through better coordination with the public.
The SSP made it clear that every police officer must discharge duties with full responsibility and efficiency. Any negligence in handling pending cases, warrants, or attachments would not be tolerated.
