Jamshedpur SSP stitches out Durga Puja security plan, specialized Bike Squad to stand guard

Jamshedpur, Oct 11: In a bid to ensure a secure and peaceful festive season, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Kaushal Kishore took control at the Composite Control Room (CCR) in Sakchi today.

The backdrop is the imminent celebration of festivals, including the much-anticipated Durga Puja, which draws large crowds and demands heightened security measures.

The CCR a nerve center equipped with state-of-the-art technology, was abuzz with activity as the SSP gathered alongside jawans and police officers. The officers, strategically placed in various units including the Police Control Room (PCR), Quick Response Team (QRT), and Tango, a specialized Bike Squad, were ready to receive crucial directives.

Kishore commenced the briefing by acknowledging the significance of maintaining law and order during festive times. He highlighted the need for a proactive and coordinated effort to prevent criminal incidents and ensure the safety of the public.

At the CCR, screens displayed live feeds from key locations across the district, providing real-time insights into the situation. The PCR, a hub of communication and monitoring, is poised to play a pivotal role in responding promptly to any emerging issues. The Quick Response Team, trained and equipped for various scenarios, stands ready to handle situations that require immediate intervention.

A notable addition to the security apparatus is the Tango unit, a Bike Squad designed for agility and rapid response. These officers, mounted on motorcycles, can swiftly navigate through congested areas, adding a dynamic element to law enforcement’s capabilities.

During the briefing, the SSP provided necessary guidelines to the officers, emphasizing the importance of community engagement. He stressed the need for officers to build trust within the community, encouraging citizens to be vigilant and report any suspicious activities promptly.
