Jamshedpur, Jan 9: Abhinav, a Class 8 student from Yashodanagar, Govindpur, who suffered severe burns after being struck by a fireball from a high-tension electric wire, has shown some improvement. However, he begins to moan in pain as the effect of his medication wears off, leaving his family heartbroken.
The incident occurred on January 6 when Abhinav was flying kites with friends near Shri Vaidyanath Mahadev Shiv Mandir. A copper wire attached to his kite became entangled in the high-tension wire, resulting in a fireball that struck him, causing extensive burns.
Abhinav’s parents, who are financially weak, have received some community support. Social worker Bunty Singh extended financial assistance of ₹10,000 to the family. On Thursday, Abhinav spoke briefly to his mother from his hospital bed. His father, Shashi Pandey, shared that while there had been slight improvement, his son’s condition remains critical, and he endured intense pain without medication.
The family has issued an appeal for financial help, expressing its inability to bear the medical expenses and hoping for further support from compassionate individuals.
