Jamshedpur, September 5: Half a dozen children fell ill after eating cake and mixture during a Teachers’ Day program at Narendra Nagar High School in Kandra. The affected children were Shefali Bari (14), Prahlad Kumar (14), Anisha (13), Khushi Mahato (11), Surabhi Kumari (12) and Purabi Kumari Singh. They were immediately admitted to MGM Hospital in Jamshedpur for treatment. The students developed symptoms of vomiting and diarrhea shortly after eating the snacks. The school management initially took them to a nearby hospital, but due to the severity of their condition, they were transferred to MGM Hospital. However, all the children were reported to be out of danger. Authorities were investigating the incident, and samples of the cake and mixture had been taken for further analysis to determine the cause of the illness.
