Jamshedpur: SIR-2026 Mapping Drive to Conclude on June 13

Jamshedpur: With only one day remaining to finish voter mapping under the Special Intensive Revision (SIR)-2026 of the electoral roll, East Singhbhum Deputy Commissioner Rajiv Ranjan on Friday flagged off an awareness chariot from the Collectorate premises to urge left-out citizens to complete the process before the deadline.

The district administration is running an intensive awareness campaign to ensure that Booth Level Officers accurately map and include all eligible voters in the electoral roll. Dhalbhum Sub-Divisional Magistrate Arnav Mishra, Additional Deputy Commissioner Anurag Tiwari, Deputy Election Officer Priyanka Singh, and other district officials attended the flag-off ceremony.

The awareness chariot will travel through various urban and rural pockets of the district, spreading crucial information about the SIR-2026 exercise and motivating remaining voters to complete their registration immediately.

Addressing the gathering, Rajiv Ranjan announced that the special campaign will conclude on June 13 and appealed to all remaining voters to contact their respective polling stations or Booth Level Officers (BLOs) without delay. He stressed that maintaining an accurate and updated electoral roll strengthens democratic processes and guarantees every eligible citizen the right to vote.

The Deputy Commissioner urged residents to maximize the remaining hours and complete their voter mapping before the window shuts. District officials expressed confidence that the final push would achieve comprehensive voter coverage and deliver a more inclusive and transparent electoral system.
