Jamshedpur simmers at 35.4°C

Jamshedpur, April 12: Jharkhand, including Kolhan, experienced intense sunshine on Friday, leading to a rapid rise in maximum temperatures across the region. Godda emerged as the hottest district, with the mercury soaring to 38.9 degrees Celsius. In Kolhan, Jamshedpur recorded a maximum temperature of 35.4 degrees Celsius, while West Singhbhum registered 32.5 degrees and Seraikela Kharsawan district marked 35.7 degrees.

The Meteorological Department forecasts continued strong sunshine in Jharkhand, with a possibility of drizzles in select districts until April 14. Daytime temperatures are expected to rise by three to four degrees Celsius.

Regarding Saturday’s weather, Meteorologist Dr. Abhishek Anand from the Weather Center in Ranchi issued an alert for thunderstorms and rain in several Jharkhand districts. Alongside, residents can anticipate enduring strong sunlight throughout the day. Rainfall is forecasted for Garhwa, Palamu, Chatra, Hazaribagh, Bokaro, Latehar, Lohardaga, Ranchi, Bokaro, Simdega, Khunti, West Singhbhum, East Singhbhum, and Seraikela-Kharsawan. Additionally, strong winds are expected during this period.
