Jamshedpur SI accused of raping widow, court orders FIR

Jamshedpur, March 23: A widow has accused Sub Inspector (SI) of police Vimal Kumar, posted at Bodam police station, of raping her. She has filed a criminal case against the accused with the court of ADJ (I) Sanjay Kumar Upadhyaya in this connection. The court has directed the Birsanagar SC/ST Thana to lodge an FIR against the accused cop.

As per the complaint, the accused had raped the victim after locking her in a flat at Azadnagar for three days. The accused was posted at Azadnagar police station back then, said the complainant. The complainant said she was taken to the flat of the accused by her three friends without her knowledge on 16^th April last. The SI raped her several times, causing her to become pregnant. The victim later gave birth to a child who lives with her at present, said the complaint. After several days, the accused left the victim at Jugsalai and threatened her against making any complaints to anyone, sources said.
