Jamshedpur, March 30: Purvi Singhbhum Zila Marwari Sammelan (PSZMS) organized Rajasthan Day celebrations on the evening of Thursday, March 30 at the expansive Dhalbhum Club Ground opposite the Sakchi Shri Agrasen Bhawan. The entire arena was a blend of rainbow colours, whiffs of traditional aromatic cuisines, pulsating music and dances of ‘Aapno Rajasthan’ and the typical boisterousness of the Marwari community that celebrates sweat and joy in equal measure.

The Rajasthan Day celebration at Dhalbhum Club Ground was open to all community members and they descended at the function in hoards in traditional attire adding multihued showers of ‘Aapno Rajasthan’ that seemed just next door. The vibrancy of the occasion was further boosted by the folk artistes from Rajasthan whose folk songs and dances added oxygen to the spirit of prevailing joy. The artistes commenced their event with Ganesh Vandana following which, they opened the floodgates of excitement while giving the invitation for ‘Padharo Mhare Desh.’ The colorful programmes were coordinated with verve by artiste Isha Sharma from Kolkata. All the artistes were honored with traditional scarves.
Earlier, the program was jointly inaugurated by the community dignitaries. President of Akhil Bharatiya Marwari Sammelan, Govardhandas Gadodiya was the chief guest on the occasion, Deputy Commissioner Vijaya Jadhav as special guest and District SSP Prabhat Kumar as guest of honor added glitter to the celebration of Aapno Rajasthan. State President of Jharkhand Provincial Marwari Conference Basant Mittal, former State President Nirmal Kabra, Omprakash Agarwal and Rajkumar Kedia also added to the glitterati present on the occasion. The guests were honoured with safas and mementos.
