Jamshedpur shops fined, Rs 47k collected for using banned plastic

Jamshedpur, June 1: In a concerted effort to maintain order and enforce regulations, the Special Officer of the Jamshedpur Notified Area Committee led a series of raids in Golmuri, Kalimati Road, Burmamines, and Saunari areas. The raids, conducted in two shifts, resulted in the collection of fines totaling Rs 47,500 from 19 individuals. The fines were imposed for offenses including the use of banned plastic, unauthorized construction materials, encroachment, and operating businesses without a valid trade license. City Manager Ravi Bharti spearheaded the operation, working in conjunction with the flying squad and a dedicated team of officials. In-charge Tax Inspector ML Das, Regional Revenue Worker Prakash Bhagat, Dilip Barik, Krishna Ram, Ganesh Ram, Vinod Tiwari, and several home guard jawans were actively involved in the successful raids.
