Jamshedpur, March 1: City’s young artist Prem Dixit joined Saryu Roy’s party Bhartiya Jantantra Morcha ( BJM) in the district office of the party located at Sakchi on Tuesday. District secretary Rajesh Jha welcomed him.
Subodh Srivastava said that the joining of young artist Prem Dixit would provide a new direction to other youth workers of the party and his energy would give strength to the Morcha among the youth in the West Assembly area and strong ability to work. Rohit Gupta, Ashwani Kumar, Abhishek Rai, Avinash Singh, Suraj Sharma and Avinash Rai left the BJP and joined the BJM.
Talking to the media after taking membership, Prem Dixit said that he never wanted to leave the BJP, but due to Saryu Rai’s affinity and the alienation of BJP office-bearers, he was forced to join the Bharatiya Jantantra Morcha, Dixit said that the BJP is now the support of the agitating workers. It is becoming a party of businessmen and industrialists.
Prem said that during the Corona period where there was a situation of lockdown in the entire country, the artists were not getting any help, there was no help even after asking for help from the party several times, even the MP stopped picking up the phone after giving assurance from the front.
District general secretary Kulwinder Singh Pannu, District Treasurer Dharmendra Prasad, former President of Olidih Praveen Singh, office in-charge Trilochan Singh and others were present in the membership program.
