Jamshedpur, July 11: On the fourth day of the week-long Shrimad Bhagwat Katha being held at Bistupur Tulsi Bhawan, Katha Vachak Sitaram Shastri explained the episodes of Vamana Avatar, Shri Ram’s birth, Shri Krishna’s manifestation and the celebration of Nand Mahotsav. He stated, “While Shri Ram is a priceless gem, Shri Krishna possesses a multidimensional personality. If Ram’s divine play is worth emulating, Krishna’s Leelas (acts) are worth contemplating. The attainment of bliss lies in upholding the principles observed by Ram, and thus, Krishna’s divine form is realized. Therefore, the narration of Ram’s story precedes the Krishna Katha in the Bhagwatam.”

While recounting the story of Gajendra, Maharaj Ji observed, “There is no delay in attaining the Lord; if there is a delay, it is not from the Lord’s side but from ours. Gajendra and Draupadi delayed calling upon the Lord, but the Lord did not delay in responding. The complete surrender of a seeker compels the Supreme Being to manifest Himself in his/her soul.”

While explaining the passage on Hrishi Dadhichi’s donation of his bones, narrator Shastri Ji emphasized on the three aspects of selfless service. “The three essential aspects are service without expectation, without break and without discrimination. When these three qualities are present in the attitude of service, such service can touch the pinnacle of excellence.”

He noted his appreciation for the services based on these three principles that were being rendered by the Jharkhand Marwari Mahila Sammelan (JMMS) and Marwari Mahila Manch (MMM) Jamshedpur. Katha Vachak Pandit Sitaram Shastri, on behalf of the joint organizers, presented school bags, study material and sweet packets among 100 underprivileged children from a school under the Bal Vikas Project. The hosts for the fourth day’s Bhagwat Katha proceedings on Tuesday were Manju Agarwal, Manju Sawa, Seema Dodrajka, Devi Khemka, Kumud Agarwal, Santosh Dhoot, Geeta Khandelwal, Meera Babita, Abha Churiwala, Richa Jhunjhunwala and Madhu Sawa who jointly performed the prayers.
