Jamshedpur school timings changed due to cold weather, Carmel Junior College to remain close for Nursery to HKG students

Jamshedpur: In response to the prevailing cold wave, the Department of School Education and Literacy in Jharkhand has issued a directive to modify the school timings for all government, aided, unaided (including minority) schools, and private schools in the state. The new schedule will be in effect from January 19 to January 25.

For students in Classes KG to 5, the school hours have been adjusted to run from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM, allowing for a later start to the day to avoid exposure to the early morning cold. Meanwhile, for students in Classes 6 to 12, the timings will be 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM.

In response to unforeseen circumstances, Carmel Junior College has declared the closure of classes for students from Nursery to HKG on January 19. The decision aims to ensure the safety and well-being of the youngest learners during the specified date.

This decision aims to ensure the well-being of students and staff during the winter season, taking into consideration the increased severity of cold weather in the region. The altered timings are expected to provide a more comfortable learning environment, particularly for the younger students.
