Jamshedpur school timings changed due to cold weather

Jamshedpur, Dec 4: In response to the ongoing dip in temperatures, private schools in Jamshedpur have revised their schedules to safeguard children from the cold. Effective from Tuesday, most schools in the city have shifted their opening time from the earlier 7:15-7:20 AM to 8:00 AM. Similarly, the closing time has been extended, with schools now ending between 2:00 and 2:30 PM, compared to the previous 1:30 PM schedule.

Although no official directive has been issued by the government regarding school timings, private institutions have proactively made the changes to ensure the safety and well-being of students. Notices about the revised timings have been circulated among parents and guardians.

School authorities have emphasized that these adjustments are temporary and may be reviewed if temperatures continue to drop or if the government provides updated guidelines.

The move has been welcomed by parents who were concerned about children braving the chilly early mornings. The revised timings align with the season’s colder conditions, prioritizing student comfort while maintaining the academic schedule. As the cold wave persists, schools remain vigilant, ready to make further changes if required.
