
Jamshedpur Sept. 26: The Jamshedpur School of Art (JSA) organised its Annual Day today at the Rajendra Vidyalaya Auditorium. Chanakya Chaudhary, Vice President Corporate Services, Tata Steel, was the Chief Guest on the occasion. The other dignitaries included the Managing Committee members and the Trustees of the School.
JSA is the oldest institution in the city and was established in 1946, with the support of Tata Steel. It was converted into a social Trust on July 6, 2000. Over the years, it has made a mark for itself as a popular school for Fine arts. Many students join this School to gain inputs for making a career in the field of Fine Arts, while there are also some who take up the brush also as a Hobby.

There are more than 561 students in different classes in Fine arts and 435 students enrolled in Cultural activities such as dance, music, playing the casio and the guitar. Every year many students of JSA secure admissions to different art colleges in the country after qualifying in the entrance examinations.
Today, the School celebrated its Annual Day and honoured students who had excelled in the various courses. It was also a good opportunity to showcase the activities of the School. The guests, including parents of the students, enjoyed a cultural programme put up by the faculty and the students.
