Jamshedpur, November 11:  NDA candidate from Jamshedpur West, Saryu Roy, has released two audio clips alleging corrupt practices involving Congress candidate and current Health and Food Minister Banna Gupta. The clips, now viral, reportedly featured a conversation between an agent from Gupta’s office and an applicant, discussing a transaction of Rs 1.25 crore for the appointment of Pharmacy Council Registrar.

In a press conference, Roy claimed that Rahul Kumar, appointed temporarily as Pharmacy Director, allegedly paid Rs 1.25 crore for the role but was dismissed within four months, after which Gupta’s secretary stopped responding to him. Roy stated that he raised this matter in the Assembly, questioning Kumar’s eligibility and alleged corruption in the appointment. Following the release of the audio, Roy has demanded a full investigation, calling on the Election Commission to probe the source of Gupta’s election funds, which he claimed were illicitly obtained.

Roy also criticized Gupta’s handling of the Food Commission, alleging it had been weakened due to corruption. He stated that complaints regarding ration distribution irregularities were being ignored, with the Commission paralyzed and key posts left vacant due to alleged bribery demands. BJP MP Nishikant Dubey also posted the audio clips on social media.
