Jamshedpur, August 30: Jamshedpur East MLA, Saryu Roy, inaugurated a swimming pool on Monday in the Sidhgora Town Hall premises. The swimming pool was constructed from his MLA fund. The legislator dedicated the swimming pool to the citizens.
According to the norms pertaining to the use of this newly introduced swimming pool, children up to the age of 12 will have the opportunity to learn swimming here at a minimal cost so as to enable them to participate in district, state, national, and international-level competitions. Parents were to register their children for learning swimming in this pool.
Changing rooms and lockers have been provided for swimmers. The cost of operation and maintenance of the swimming pool will be met from fees collected from children. This initiative aims to make swimming accessible to the youth and promote their participation in competitive events.
