Jamshedpur : A delegation of Jamshedpur Saloon Association met Jamshedpur East MLA Saryu Roy at his office and handed over a demand letter addressed to the state government demanding permission to open salons and shaving shops. The delegation said that after the lockdown, all types of businesses are being allowed to open in the process of unlocking, but no decision has been taken by the Jharkhand government yet to open salons and shaving shops.
Despite the closure of the shop, they have to pay the rent of the shop, etc. A state of hunger has arisen in front of them. The delegation said that there are many states where the condition of corona infection is very bad, they also have permission to open barber shops with PPE kits. On the same lines, the delegation demanded permission to run saloons. Apart from this, the delegation also made several demands to MLA, including financial assistance to saloon workers, waiving shop rent and electric-water charges.
After listening to their problems, Roy told the delegation that he himself is concerned about it and he is striving for it at his level. He said that he had met the Chief Secretary of the state two days before this and asked him to open the saloon shops.
