Jamshedpur Run-a-thon 2019 registration date extended till Nov 4

Jamshedpur, Oct 25: Jamshedpur Run-a-thon 2019 online and offline walk-in registrations will now close on November 4 owing to multiple requests from enthusiastic participants who missed the opportunity to register earlier.

Participants can register by: Walk-in and pick-up registration form at Accounts Section, JRD Tata Sports Complex (0657 6644815, 0657 2431141) and register on-the-spot or by logging onto http://www.tatasteeljsr-run.com and register online

Keeping in mind the benefit of interested participants, registration counters are operational at the Accounts Section, JRD Tata Sports Complex from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm and from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm on all week days.

It may be noted that registrations will be done on first come first serve basis. Only first 6,500 registrations will be accepted.

The annual event Tata Steel Jamshedpur Run-a-thon is set to be organised on Sunday, November 10, 2019. The 10-Km run will kick-off from the JRD Tata Sports Complex with the first race scheduled at 06:10 hours. This event is open all Indian Nationals.  10 km is the internationally-approved distance for road races by the International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF).

There will be different events for various categories of runners. The 10-Km run is open to all Indian Nationals. Apart from this, there will be a 7-Km run a 5-Km run for under-16 boys and girls as on November 10, 2019.

Sports and physical fitness are ingrained in the philosophy of Tata Steel. The Sports Department consistently organises sporting and running events to provide a healthy work-life balance for Tata Steel employees and believes in promoting fitness among stakeholders in the larger community.
