Jamshedpur, March 3: Jamshedpur police announced a cash reward of Rs 50,000 for helping them arrest two suspects in the gold loot case of Sakchi. They also released the sketches of the suspects who had reportedly looted 200 grams of gold ornaments worth Rs 10 lakh from two staff of a local hallmarking centre near Basant Central on 18th February last.
In the sketches, the mobile numbers of SSP and SP City have also been given. An appeal has been made to the public to share information about the culprits to help police arrest the culprits.
The looters in this case reportedly guised themselves as policemen and showed fake police identity cards to the victims, Shubham and Bapi, after intercepting them near Basant Central. They first accused the victims of carrying ganja (cannabis) in their bag and later forcibly took away the gold ornaments kept inside.
