Jamshedpur, Jan 16: City-based Roti Bank celebrated its sixth foundation day on Wednesday. A feast was organized on this occasion at Sakchi roundabout. Several thousand people received free meal sponsored by Roti Bank Charitable Trust. The outfit president Manoj Mishra was present during the programme. He said Roti Bank will soon be opening a food distribution centre near Meharbai Tata Cancer Hospital for the kin of poor patients.
The chief guest of today�s programme was Zila Parishad vice president Rajkumar Singh. He praised Roti Bank volunteers and all donors for serving the poor people. He appealed to all sections of society to join the campaign to feed the poor people.
Also present on the occasion was Dr Jitendra Thakur, Professor-in-charge of Jamshedpur Law College. He said Roti Bank would prove to be a milestone in fighting hunger.
