Jamshedpur, April 28: A memorandum demanding proper and regular power supply was handed to the General Manager of Jharkhand Bijli Vitran Nigam Ltd (JBVNL) on Thursday by a delegation of AJSU Party, led by Jugsalai unit President Tanveer Alam alias Raju. The memorandum stated that due to erratic power supply the water supply too was being affected because without power water supply could not be provided. In the protest memorandum, the AJSU Party stated that this being the period of Ramadan, the Muslim community observing fast was being greatly inconvenienced by poor power and water supply. Students participating in their examinations were facing the crunch of power and water crisis. The fiasco was that there were regular power cuts during the water supply timings.
The memorandum demanded the immediate rectification in power supply in every locality affected by such power and water supply anomalies.
AJSU Party District President Kanhaiya Singh, while warning the JBVNL General Manager, said that serious power and allied water supply problems needed to be rectified and in case these were not resolved immediately, the AJSU Party would cut off power supply at the GM’s office. Kamlesh Dubey, Appu Tiwari, Arup Mallick, Mohammad Tanveer alias Raju, Praveen Prasad and other AJSU Party office bearers were members of the delegation.
YC demands immediate rectification in truncated power supply
Jamshedpur, April 28: Jharkhand Pradesh Youth Congress (YC) General Secretary Rakesh Sahu urged the JBVNL General Manager to rectify truncated power supply immediately in non-company areas of Jamshedpur. He said that people were in the throes of scorching summer conditions but regular and inconsistent power cuts added to their agonies. Rakesh pointed out that due to nocturnal power cuts people could not sleep and children were missing classes and daily routine was being affected. The Youth Congress General Secretary, Rakesh Sahu said that there was resentment among people over poor and erratic power supply and if the power supply blemish is not rectified, people would be out on the streets in protest.
