Jamshedpur: Resolve civic issues from home with Jharkhand’s PGMS

Jamshedpur, June 24: Residents can now register their problems and suggestions related to road and drain construction, cleanliness, water supply, fogging, PM Housing (Urban), Chief Minister Shramik Yojna, footpath vendors, holding, illegal construction and mapping, encroachment, birth-death certificates, and the installation and repair of street lights from home. There will be no need for people to visit officials in person.

The Public Grievance Management System (PGMS) is being operated by the Directorate of Urban Administration, Urban Development, and Housing Department through a call center. Since its inception, 83,169 complaints have been registered on the PGMS portal, with 82,050 resolved.

The PGMS, run by the Department of Urban Development and Housing, Government of Jharkhand, covers all 49 municipal bodies in the state, including Jamshedpur Notified Area Committee (JNAC), Mango Municipal Corporation, Jugsalai Municipal Council, Adityapur Municipal Corporation, and Kapali Municipal Council. It has been operational since December 2016, enabling citizens to register complaints related to various civic services directly with public officials.
