Jamshedpur resident late Sanjay Agarwal’s eyes donated, to provide sight to two persons

Jamshedpur, June 10: Sanjay Agarwal, the 56 year old resident of Jugsalai Shiva Residency died suddenly on Saturday, June 10. He was the brother-in-law of Marwari Mahila Manch (MMM), Jamshedpur unit member Vidya Agarwal. At the initiative of MMM Jamshedpur unit that runs an eye donation drive, late Sanjay Agarwal’s eyes were donated with the consent of his younger brother Vijay Agarwal and sister Nidhi Agarwal at their residence. MMM Jamshedpur unit Bina Agarwal, President of social organization Roshni Tarulata Gandhi, Sita Joshi and prominent Ophthalmologist Dr Ajay Gupta were present on theoccasion.

Bina Agarwal thanked Sanjay Agarwal’s family, Roshni and Dr Ajay Gupta for helping out in this humanitarian cause. It may be mentioned that the eyes donated on Saturday would provide sight to to beneficiaries.

The last rites of Sanjay Agarwal were performed at the Jugsalai Shiv Ghat. The information was provided by Sushila Khirwal of Marwari Mahila Manch. The Jamshedpur unit of MMM has appealed to all citizens to contact the organization if a demise has occurred in any family and if such a family was willing to donate the eyes of their departed member. Such information could be given over phone to MMM Jamshedpur President Bina Agarwal (9304833999), Sushila Khirwal (9431952424) and Seema Agarwal (7858016351). All services for the entire eye donation process would be provided free of cost by the MMM Jamshedpur.
