Jamshedpur, June 10: Large drains in the Mango Municipal Corporation (MMC) command areas are being cleaned at a rqpid pace prior to the onset of monsoon. On Saturday, five large drains werfe cleaned. According to MMC officials, all large and small drains would be cleared before the arrival of the monsoon season. Gutters too are being cleared in the process to prevent water logging on streets and in colonies. MMC Executive Officer, City Manager, CMM and departmental Engineers were overseeing the cleaning operations. Contractors engaged for upkeep and maintenance of sanitary work have been directed to ensure adequate work force to have all drains and gutters cleaned before the arrival of the monsoon season.
