Jamshedpur reports 248 Covid cases, 3 deaths

Jamshedpur, Jan 27: Jamshedpur on Thursday reported 248 fresh Covid-19 cases while 3 people succumbed to virus. Meanwhile, 389 people recovered of the infection in the same period.

New infections on Thursday pushed the overall caseload to 66,777.

COVID-related fatalities remained high with 3 peo8ple succumbing to the virus in the last 24 hours taking the toll to 1131 till date, the health bulletin said.

According to East Singhbhum Covid-19 medical bulletin, as many as 389 people have walked out of healthcare facilities aggregating 63414 and leaving 2232 active infections.

The number of samples tested today was at 7135 pushing the cumulative number of specimens examined so far to 2211749 till date.

Jamshedpur’s positivity rate – the number of people testing positive for every 100 tests – was 3.48 percent with the latest addition in cases. 7135 samples were tested on Thursday.

The positivity rate came down to 3.02 per cent in Jamshedpur.

The cumulative coronavirus case count stands at 66777 and the death count is now 1131, according to the latest health bulletin.

7135 COVID-19 tests, including 2238 RT-PCR, 4493 RAT and 404 TrueNat were conducted in the last 24 hours in the city.

East Singhbhum district administration has conducted 830860 test per million in the district. The recovery rate in Jamshedpur is 95.32% while the mortality rate is 1.69%.

So far in Jamshedpur 2218223 samples have been collected out of which 2211749 have been tested and 2144972 have turned out to be negative.
