Jamshedpur reports 10 Covid cases, 9 recoveries

Jamshedpur, July 12: The positive case count in Jamshedpur has been reduced to double digit again. Jamshedpur reported ten positive cases on Monday while zero death was recorded on July 12. 

The new positives in Jamshedpur took the Coronavirus tally to 51697.

9 people recovered of the virus on Monday taking the total recovery to 50573 while total active cases in Jamshedpur have come down to 70.

Of the 70 patients still undergoing treatment for the coronavirus in the district, most are in home isolation, while some are being treated at care centres and hospitals. 

Of the 10 new cases, 2 each are from Ghatsila, Mango, Kadma and Baharagora while one each was recorded from Jugsalai and Sonari.

As many as 9 people recovered from the virus on Monday taking the overall recoveries to 50573 which accounts for a recovery rate of 97.84%.

East Singhbhum district administration has conducted 423882 tests per million in the district. The recovery rate in Jamshedpur is 97.84% while the mortality rate is 2.04 %.

With 10 new Covid-19 cases, Jamshedpur’s positivity rate on Monday remained below 1%, as the city stayed on the recovery path after a brutal wave of infections between April and May. The positivity rate stood at 0.22% on Monday.

More than 4400 were tested on the day. Data from the state government’s daily health bulletin showed that the Covid-19 test positivity is 0.22%. The state, too, witnessed a massive fall in infections and fatalities.

The positivity rate of Covid-19 cases in Jamshedpur is around 0.22 per cent after East Singhbhum conducted over 4400 tests in the last 24 hours. 

The Steel City tested 4461 samples, of which, 10 turned out positive while 9 people recovered from the Covid-19. The continuous high numbers of tests have pushed the positivity rate further down to 0.22 per cent, the government data showed.

So far in Jamshedpur 1144913 samples have been collected out of which 1128374 have been tested and 1076677 have turned out to be negative.
