Jamshedpur, June 16: The medical fraternity mourns the loss of Dr. DP Jakanwal, Head of the Physiology Department at MGM Medical College, who passed away on Thursday night at Tata Main Hospital (TMH). Dr. Jakanwal resided in Sonari Sangam Vihar alongside his son, Dr. Surendra P Jakanwal, a dedicated doctor currently serving at Jamshedpur Eye Hospital. Dr. DP Jakanwal, aged 94, had been battling declining health for some time. As his condition worsened, he was admitted to TMH, where he breathed his last. On Friday, a solemn procession conveyed Dr. Jakanwal’s mortal remains from his residence in Sonari to the Swarnarekha Burning Ghat. Members of the Indian Medical Association (IMA) joined in paying their respects and extending condolences to the departed soul. Notable figures present at the cremation ceremony included Dr. Saurabh Chaudhary, Secretary of IMA, along with Dr. VSP Sinha, Dr. AK Lal, Dr. Vivek Kedia, Dr. V Chakraborty, Dr. Nitin Dhira, and numerous other esteemed doctors
