Jamshedpur registers zero COVID-19 deaths for fourth day in a row

13 new cases, 28 recoveries on Sunday

Jamshedpur, Nov 8: Coronavirus cases in Jamshedpur reached 16177 with 13 new cases reported on Sunday, November 8. The death tally remains at 356 with no deaths reported in East Singhbhum district on Sunday. Jamshedpur registered no COVID-19 deaths for the fourth consecutive day on Sunday, while 13 new positive cases took the tally to 16177, district health official said.

28 people recovered of the virus on Sunday taking the total recovery to 14641 while total active cases in Jamshedpur are 1180. East Singhbhum district administration has conducted 119804 test per million in the district. The recovery rate in Jamshedpur is 91% while the mortality rate is 2.2 %.

So far in Jamshedpur 331184 samples have been collected out of which 318919 have been tested and 302742 have turned out to be negative.

On the other hand, 203 positive were reported in Jharkhand on Sunday. Most of the positive have been found in Ranchi. 60 positive were reported in Ranchi on Sunday.  The positive tally in Jharkhand has climbed to 104442 of which 4471 cases are active. 99044 corona patients have recovered from the virus while 897 people have succumbed to the disease in Jharkhand.
