Jamshedpur: Residents can expect a continued rise in minimum temperatures over the next 48 hours, according to meteorological experts. The state’s weather patterns are currently influenced by a pressure gradient, which is expected to cause an increase in both maximum and minimum temperatures.
The Indian Meteorological Department’s (IMD) Ranchi Meteorological Centre has forecasted a rise of 2 to 3 degrees Celsius in minimum temperatures over the next two days. This climatic change is in response to evolving atmospheric conditions across the region.
On Wednesday, Ranchi recorded a minimum temperature of 16.8 degrees Celsius, while Jamshedpur saw a slightly lower reading at 14.4 degrees Celsius. Meanwhile, Daltonganj recorded 14.1 degrees Celsius, and Bokaro stood at 13.1 degrees Celsius.
Among all locations in the state, Gumla recorded the lowest minimum temperature of 11.3 degrees Celsius. However, overall trends indicate a gradual warming effect across Jharkhand, with all major districts witnessing an upward shift in nighttime temperatures.
According to meteorologists, satellite imagery has identified the presence of a trough extending from a cyclonic circulation over northwest Rajasthan and central Pakistan, stretching towards the northeast Arabian Sea through Gujarat at approximately 1.5 kilometers above mean sea level.
Additionally, another cyclonic circulation, which earlier originated over north Gujarat, is presently positioned over southern Rajasthan at about 0.9 kilometers above the mean sea level. This system is contributing to the ongoing temperature fluctuations across Jharkhand and neighboring states.
With minimum temperatures on the rise, residents may experience milder nights compared to previous weeks. The gradual warming trend is expected to bring some relief from the biting cold that gripped the state in January. However, this sudden temperature increase could also lead to changes in seasonal patterns, affecting agriculture and daily life in the region.
Meteorologists continue to monitor these developments and advise citizens to stay updated with weather forecasts. The evolving pressure gradient and associated atmospheric phenomena are likely to determine the state’s temperature fluctuations in the coming days.
As Jharkhand transitions into a warmer phase, experts recommend staying prepared for fluctuating weather conditions and adapting to the changing climate trends that are shaping the region’s atmospheric patterns.
