Jamshedpur Ramnavami: Mock drill performed at Police Lines

Jamshedpur, April 4: A mock security drill was conducted at the parade ground of Golmuri Police Lines ahead of Ramnavami on Monday. District police personnel were given training on dealing with rioters and hooligans trying to disrupt peaceful celebration of festivals, sources said.

Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) of East Singhbhum, Dr M Tamil Vanan, was present during the mock drill. He said the mock drill was part of preparation by the police department for exigencies. He said the cops are being trained so that they are ready to deal with anti-social elements disrupting law and order situation. He appealed to the people to cooperate with the police department during the festivals and celebrate it with harmony and responsibility.

Many other senior police officials were present during the drill. They gave suggestions to their subordinates to improve their performance.
