15 Jamshedpur schools attend TEEP session on ‘Good Practices Sharing’

Jamshedpur, April 4: Tata Education Excellence Programme (TEEP) organised the second session on ‘Good Practices Sharing’ for schools on March 30, 2022. A total of 15 schools participated in the event out of which 11 schools shared their best practices.

Chanakya Chaudhary, Vice President Corporate Services, Tata Steel and R N Murthy, Managing Director, Tinplate Company of India Limited graced the occasion with their presence.

Two experts, Dr. Deepali Misra and Nargis Madon, were present in the programme who shared their views with presenting schools on improvements in their practices. They also appreciated the inquisitiveness and the culture of adopting best practices by schools.

After almost two years, considering the pandemic lockdown, the Principals, and teachers from various schools converged to share good practices on the topics of Management of school operations and managing classes in COVID, Process and tools deployed for student assessments to ensure effective teaching-learning, and School preparedness for handling lockdowns and pandemic scenarios in near future.

The first session was hosted in February where Schools shared the challenges faced by them during the COVID-19 pandemic and exchanged ideas and practices on how they adapted during this period including the innovative use of IT to ensure continuity of education, engagement of students, and the mental well-being of teachers and students.

Started in 2003, Tata Education Excellence Program (TEEP) enables schools to improve the quality of academic facilitation through a calibrated approach. This program is run in schools which are either private, government or rural schools. The schools voluntarily participate in this program which is a year-long engagement and then the schools are assessed on education excellence maturity. The framework of the program is adopted from renowned Malcolm Baldrige Performance Excellence criteria. Currently, this program is being run for schools in/around Jamshedpur.
