Jamshedpur Raksha Bandhan: Holidays of postal staff cancelled

Jamshedpur, August 5: Postal department has cancelled holidays on Sunday (7^th August) and Muharram (9^th August) in view of Raksha Bandhan. A notice in this regard was issued on Friday, sources said.

Sources said the holidays were cancelled with the view to facilitate timely and speedy delivery of Rakhis and letters during Raksha Bandhan. Due to two holidays, delivery of letters would have been seriously affected, sources said.

The postal superintendent’s office has informed all post offices, Railway Mail Service office and postal van service about the notice.
