Jamshedpur, March 30: Police here arrested Kirti Chand Khalkho, manager of Punjab National Bank, Sakchi branch, for allegedly withdrawing Rs 18.9 lakh from the account of a Golmuri-based couple by using forged cheques.

Police said the said amount was withdrawn from the Sakchi branch of PNB on 13th March last. Cops had taken the branch manager in custody on the very next day of cash withdrawal on the complaint of Kuldeep Kaur and Bhagwant Singh of Refugee Colony, Golmuri.
