Jamshedpur: Singhbhum Chamber of Commerce and Industry organized the fourth edition of Chamber Premier League (CPL) from January 16 at the Armoury Ground.

In the final match held on Thursday, PST XI defeated PRW XI by five wickets.

Vipin Agrawal was named the Man of the Match for his outstanding performance.

The closing ceremony, held at 2:00 PM at the Armoury Ground, was attended by guests, including SSP Kaushal Kishore, and special guest Ratan Lal Gupta, Additional Commissioner of State Tax. The winning and runner-up teams were awarded trophies, and all players received commendation for their sportsmanship..

Expressing his appreciation, Chief Guest Kaushal Kishore said that sportsmanship displayed by business entrepreneurs, who, amidst their busy schedules, actively participated in sports. He commended the Chamber for inspiring business and industrialists in Singhbhum, highlighting the significance of sports in today’s fast-paced life.

Ratan Lal Gupta, Additional Commissioner of State Tax applauded the Chamber’s initiative, emphasizing the importance of promoting sports alongside business interests.

SCCI President Vijay Anand Moonka highlighted the Chamber’s commitment to not only supporting the business community but also addressing societal issues and promoting a healthy lifestyle through sports.

The six participating teams in the CPL were PST XI, Executive XI, PRW XI, Trade XI, Industry XI, and Tax and Finance XI. The league matches were followed by semifinals, with PST-11 and Tax and Finance-11 emerging as the finalists.

The final match witnessed a thrilling encounter, with PST-11 securing victory over PRW-11 by five wickets. Bhupendra Yadav was named the Man of the Series and Best Batsman, while Lala Badhani was recognized as the Best Bowler, and Mohan Laddha as the Best Fielder.
