Jamshedpur, July 16: Preparations were in full swing for the upcoming Jalabhishek Yatra organized by the Surya Mandir Samiti, Sidhgora, scheduled for the third Monday of Sawan on July 28. The yatra was expected to witness massive participation from devotees across the city.
The committee was actively engaging with devotees and local leaders through meetings in different areas including Birsanagar, Sakchi, Burmamines, Telco, Baridih, Bhalubasa, Sitaramdera, and Golmuri to ensure smooth execution of the event. Leaders including Pawan Agarwal, Dinesh Kumar, Gunjan Yadav, Rakesh Singh, and others were coordinating preparations.
The Yatra will begin at 7 AM from Baridih Hari Mandir Ground, with devotees proceeding in procession towards the Sidgora Suryadham Shivalaya. The event will feature devotional music, vibrant tableaux, and high-spirited participation. For the first time, holy water from Uttarvahini Ganga in Sultanganj will be brought especially for Jalabhishek.
Kashi-Style Ganga Aarti
In the evening, a Maha Arati modeled after the Ganga Ghat of Kashi will take place at 6:30 PM. A 15-member trained group from Varanasi will perform the divine ritual with traditional instruments, conch blowing, and ceremonial lamp displays.
The event will see participation from numerous citizens and devotees including Pappu Upadhyay, Suraj Singh, Vikas Sharma, Yuvraj Singh, Jeevan Sahu, and others, who pledged their full support for the success of the Yatra.
