Jamshedpur, June 17: East Singhbhum district administration beefed up security arrangements in sensitive areas of the city on Friday with the view to ensure peace during Friday prayers.
Recent incidents of violence in Ranchi led the administration to go into alert mode, sources said.
Police visibility was increased in Mango, Dhatkidih, Sakchi Mohammedan line, Jugsalai and other localities.
According to Special Officer of Mango Municipal Corporation, Deepak Sahay, the administration is keeping special vigil in sensitive areas to ensure that the law and order situation remains in control.
City people are aware of their duties as peace-loving and law abiding citizens, he said.
