Jamshedpur, Aug 7: Azadnagar police cracked a scooty theft case within hours of the incident and arrested the accused, Abdul Karim alias Rinku. The scooty, which was reported stolen from Old Purulia Road No. 1, has also been recovered.
According to police, the theft occurred during the night of August 6. The owner, Khalil Khan alias Heera, had parked the vehicle outside his house around 10 PM. Around 2:30 AM, he noticed it was missing and informed Azadnagar police.
Station in-charge Chandan Kumar and his team swiftly acted on the complaint, using surveillance and ground intelligence to trace the accused.
“We acted promptly and managed to arrest the thief with the vehicle within hours,” said Kumar.
The accused has been sent to judicial custody. The quick resolution of the case has earned praise from the local community and restored confidence in the police.
