Jamshedpur police probe ‘suspicious’ theft at Burmamines 

Jamshedpur, January 1: Jewelery and cash worth Rs 5 lakh were stolen from the house of Avinash Kumar, a resident of Dindi Road under Burmamines police station area, on late Saturday night. After getting the information of the incident, the police reached the site and started investigation.

During this, the police noticed that neither the lock of the house was broken nor the almirah was broken. Despite this, a complaint has been made in the police station regarding the theft of Rs 5 lakh in connection with the incident. Police is finding the whole matter suspicious.

The family members were sleeping at home. In relation to the incident, Ajay Kumar, station in-charge of Burmamines, says that the complainant have told that the incident took place between 10:30 pm and 3 am in the morning. The family members were sleeping at home at the time of the incident. During this, neither the lock of the house has been broken nor the cupboard has been broken. In such a situation, how the theft took place from the house is beyond the understanding of the police.

There is no other case, in relation to the incident, the police is feeling that the matter may be something else, but the police have registered the case.
