Hemant govt will work for Jharkhand interest: Gagrai
Seraikela, January 1. On the occasion of Martyr’s Day under the auspices of Jharkhand Andolankari Samman Samiti, Hesa, tribal welfare and transport minister Champai Soren paid homage to the pictures of late Dashrath Manjhi and late Mangu Soy, who were eyewitnesses of the Kharsawan shootout, installed at the Kharsawan martyr’s site. On this occasion, retired-serviceman Shankar Soy who is also president of Jharkhand Andolankari Samman Samiti Hesa, secretary Atul Sardar and all others of the committee were present.
Champai Soren said that by taking inspiration from the martyrs of Kharsawan, the way to fight for a separate Jharkhand state was paved under the leadership of Guruji Shibu Soren. He said that our forefathers have made us proud by sacrificing their lives before and after the independence of the country. Because of the immortal martyrs of Jharkhand, we are breathing in the open today. We have to make the dreams of those martyrs come true. The present government is doing better work in this direction.

Chakradharpur MLA Sukhram Oraon while saluting the martyrs of Kharsawan said that it is a pleasant feeling to visit the martyr’s place of Kharsawan. By coming here, one gets information about the glorious history of the ancestors. Today dreams of the martyrs is being fulfilled by the Hemant Soren government.
Kharsawan MLA Dashrath Gagarai said that the people have formed the Hemant government in Jharkhand with many hopes and beliefs.
“I have full faith that the Hemant government will work in the interest of Jharkhand. Along with this, we will work to take Jharkhand on the path of new direction of development,” said Gagrai.
District Congress president Vishu Hembram, while saluting the brave martyrs of Kharsawan, said that the government should pay true tribute to the martyrs by fulfilling their dreams and hoped that tribals and moolvasis of Jharkhand should get the rights of water, forest and land. The government should work on the expectations of the martyrs.
West Singhbhum district president of AJSU Ramlal Munda said that Kharsawan is the land of martyrs and agitators of Jharkhand. “Dream of a separate Jharkhand state has been fulfilled and it was achieved by the sacrifice and struggle of those martyrs,” said Munda.
