Jamshedpur, Mar 4: Sonari police has managed to nab a accused in the indiscriminate firing incident on rival gang member in broad day light at Kagalnagar area with the arresting of Ganesh Das alias Ganesh Burman with a pistol and two live cartridges while the main accused Ravidas is still absconding.Â
Informing about the arresting, SSP East Singhbhum M Tamilvanan said that on the basis of information shared by the arrested accused, they have also recovered the two bikes used in the firing incident along with firearms. So far Sonari police has nabbed members of the Ravidas gang, including Buddha Dhibar, Madan Seth, Prahlad Dhibar, Vishal Dutta and Laltu Mahato and sent them to jail.Â
Police had seized the Bolero used by Ravidas during the crime on the day of the crime on February 26.Â
Ravidas alongwith his accomplices had fired indiscriminately at rival gang member Siyal alias Sonu and even chased him into the residence of reputed builder Fani Bhusan Mahato in Sonari and shot at him inside the house causing him to sustain injury at his back portion. After seeing crowd gathering near the house, the criminals had managed to flee from the spot.Â
Siyal had shot at Ravidas in 2019 and had been in jail in this connection and was out on bail in January this year. Ravidas had fired at Siyal to take revenge.Â
