Jamshedpur police join hands with Odisha counterparts, recover 24 tonnes illegal scrap

Jamshedpur, Aug 7:  Sitaramdera police joined hands with their Odisha counterparts and recovered 24 tonnes of illegal scrap from a scrap yard at Bhuinadih Kalindi Basti. The joint police teams conducted the raid at 4 am on Sunday. According to the Sitaramdera police, their Odisha counterparts had reported that a truck carrying 24 tonnes of scrap was on its way to Patratu when adter some distance, it ws reported missing. In course of the investigation, the truck’s location hunt pointed to the truck was stated to be in Jamshedpur. The Sitaramdera police along with the Odisha police raided the scrap yard Kalindi Basti and recovered 24 tonnes of scrap. However, the accused in the case Kundan, Chandan and others were reportedly on the run.
