Jamshedpur, Aug 22: The three-day Kolhan Regional Police Duty Meet concluded on Friday at Bistupur, with Jamshedpur Police emerging as the overall champion. The closing ceremony was attended by IG Manoj Kaushik as chief guest, along with Kolhan DIG Anuranjan Kispotta, SSP Jamshedpur and SPs of Chaibasa and Seraikela as special guests.
Competitions were held in six events across ten categories. Outstanding police officers were also honoured for excellence in investigation.
In his address, IG Kaushik stressed the need for a specialized training center for crime investigation. “Criminals are constantly adopting new methods, which pose challenges to law enforcement. Officers must receive regular training and be equipped with technology-driven knowledge, especially in cybercrime cases,” he said. Kaushik urged officers to expand the scope of investigation and remain vigilant against emerging forms of crime.
He praised the efforts of all participants and encouraged continuous skill development to strengthen policing in the region.
