Jamshedpur, Aug 23: A delegation of Rashtriya Teli Sahu Mahagathbandhan met Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), East Singhbhum, on Tuesday and complained against Sidhgora police for detaining a woman for three days in a theft case.
The delegation members said police had detained the woman for purchasing stolen items from someone by mistake. The woman is unable to go home and look after her children, they said.
The outfit members said the police should not harass the woman unnecessarily and should instead release her as they have failed to make any progress in the theft case so far.
